USAToday.com: Taylor Swift will definitely be at the Teen Choice 2011 awards on Sunday, Aug. 7 in Los Angeles. The show will air on Fox at 8 p.m. (live ET on Fox/PT tape-delayed).
Why? She’ll be receiving the Ultimate Choice Award in recognition of her “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry.”
Fox has also announced that fans will be able to watch the Teen Choice 2011 red carpet and backstage action with a live webcast airing Sunday, Aug. 7 (3:30-5:00 PM PT live/6:30-8:00 PM ET live) online at Teenchoiceawards.com.

Taylor Swift was a no-show to the red carpet or to a moonman (she was nominated for “Best Female Video” for Fifteen, the winner was Lady GaGa’s Bad Romance), but she did sang about her 2009 VMA incident with rapper Kanye West, in a maternal way (as describes Yahoo! Music News): “You’re still an innocent, 32 and growing up now,(…)You’ll have new Septembers. Every one of us has messed up too…” in a 1940s hairstyle, the song titled “Innocent” will be featured on Taylor’s 3rd album “Speak Now“.

Taylor Swift attended The 2010 National Association Of Recording Merchandisers Convention in Chicago, IL on Monday (May 17). The convention honored her with their “Artist Of The Year” award. You can watch her acceptance speech here.
One day after the NARM Convention, Taylor attended The 58th Annual Broadcast Music Incorporated Pop Music Awards at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills were she received two “Song Of The Year” awards for “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me”. Taylor Swift is set to be honored with Hal David Starlight Award on June 17 in New York. The award is given in order to honor songwriters who are making or made an impact in music industry, “Taylor Swift is one of the brightest musical talents to emerge in recent years, and represents the true epitome of the Starlight Award,” says Chairman/CEO Hal David, himself a legendary songwriter. “She possesses an undeniable talent as a songwriter, expressive singer and performer, and we are proud to present her with this well-deserved honor.” This is a huge honor for Taylor (since she writes all of her songs). Congratulations!
