What does Pink have up her sleeve?

The singer is the latest star confirmed to perform at MTV’s Video Music Awards, taking place Sept. 13 at locations around New York City, including Radio City Music Hall.

“Last year I got to jump out of a window at the VMAs in L.A.,” Pink said. “This year I can’t wait to blow the roof off Radio City in New York.”

And Pink is not alone.

“I love incorporating theatrics into my performances,” says Taylor Swift, who is also confirmed to perform. “The VMAs have always allowed artists to run with that.” Swift is set to sing a new version of her song “You Belong With Me” from her hit album Fearless.

In addition, Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford are the first presenters confirmed for the show.

Despite teasing the Jonas Brothers at last year’s show, British comedian Russell Brand will return to host the event in September.

MTV.com : First Demi Lovato worked with him for her new album out this July. And, now it seems that Taylor Swift is catching John Mayer fever.

Swift, who is still riding the wave of the chart-dominating Fearless, recently revealed that, much like in Lovato’s case, she met Mayer via Twitter, and now she could be hooking up with Mayer in the studio for her next album.

“He Twittered the other day that he wrote a song, and he wants to make it a duet with me,” she tells Elle in the magazine’s new Women in Music issue.

“Waking up to this song idea that won’t leave my head. 3 days straight now. That means it’s good enough to finish,” Mayer Tweeted in March. “It’s called ‘Half of My Heart’ and I want to sing it with Taylor Swift. She would make a killer ‘Nicks’ in contrast to my ‘Petty’ of a song.”

Swift was more than flattered by the attention. “I freaked out when I heard, because I’ve been such a big fan of John for such a long time,” she told Elle. “I’m really excited about just the idea that he would even mention me in his Twitter!”

In May, Mayer took their partnership offline and onstage in L.A., when he joined Swift for a duet of his hit “Your Body Is a Wonderland” and her song “White Horse.”

Of course, a new album also means that Taylor will have to write new songs about the boys who have done her wrong. On the Fearless track “Forever and Always,” she shared her side of her breakup with Joe Jonas, and she promises that kind of honesty won’t fade for her next album.

“There are definitely breakup songs on this record, but not too many,” she said, which makes sense, since she’s probably too busy for guys these days.

“I like to balance out the amount of happy songs, breakup songs, sentimental songs, I-miss-you songs, angry songs,” she told the magazine. “I don’t want to try and harp on the same emotion too much because I feel like if you make the ‘angry’ album, that’s going to lose people.”

MTV has officially confirmed that Taylor Swift will be presenting at The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards that will take place next Sunday September 7th 2008 in Los Angeles.The Country star will be introducing “The Jonas Brothers” performance.

Celebrity country singer Taylor Swift is rumored to be dating The Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas.Both were seen yesterday (28th August 2008) leaving New York hotspot Tao holding hands.

NewsDay.com: While most of her peers donned caps and gowns to receive their high school diplomas, country star Taylor Swift was strumming a guitar and performing for thousands of fans.

So Swift got her diploma in the mail.

“Education has always been at the forefront of my priorities, so I’m really glad to have my diploma,” the 18-year-old singer-songwriter told The Associated Press on Friday.

Swift attended public school for 9th and 10th grade. But when her career began heating up, she needed more flexibility and switched to Aaron Academy, a private Christian school that offers home schooling.

“I never expected that my senior year would go the way it has,” she said. “There’s something really exciting about getting to live your dream and continue your education at the same time.”

Swift’s self-titled debut album has sold more than 3 million copies and produced hits including “Our Song,” ”Picture to Burn” and “Teardrops on My Guitar.”

Swift, who is on tour with Rascal Flatts, is expected to release a new album this fall.

“Checking in from New York City! I just played on Good Morning America this morning and it was SO much fun. We flew to New York late last night, as in.. got to our hotel rooms at 2AM… Then I had a 4:30AM call time for hair and make up and sound check at GMA. Awesome. So I was running a little low on sleep, just a little. Ok, a lot. But I woke up and it was all good.
I hadn’t seen my band in about 2 weeks because I’d been doing media interviews and recording vocals and all that stuff.. When I walked into the Good Morning America studio and saw my band, I just ran up to them and gave each of them a huge bear hug. I miss them so much when we’re not on tour. Much like I miss youuu when we’re not playing every night. Like crazy.
I got my hair and make up done and picked out what dress I was going to wear, and started walking down to the studio. I met Barbara Walters in an elevator and she was really nice! When we walked into the studio and up to the stage, there were all these people with signs and t-shirts and my cds, and it was so cool! I always used to watch Good Morning America and see the fans supporting whoever was there, holding up signs.. never actually thought I’d luck out and get to have my own people with signs. Thank you for being there, you guys.
At the start of the show, they unveiled my Seventeen cover! It was so cool to get to ACTUALLY see the ACTUAL cover. It was so crazy to be in that moment.. on Good Morning America (wow) and watching them unveil my Seventeen Magazine cover (wow) and then get to announce that you guys have made my album TRIPLE platinum (WOW). I love you.
The other night, I went to the Young Hollywood Awards in LA. They’re not televised or anything, but it’s a fun night in LA and so many of my favorite actors and actresses were there. I was one of the only musicians there, and the only country artist for sure. So I didn’t know many people. Ok, I didn’t know anyone…So I made some new friends. I met Abigail Breslin from Little Miss Sunshine in the bathroom and she was precious. I spent most of my time there talking to Emma Stone and Teddy Geiger. I love them both so much and Emma’s the coolest chick ever. She played Jules in Superbad and is hilarious. Everyone knew what awards they were getting in advance, and it was cool seeing some of the acceptance speeches. Brittany Snow got the “Best Smile in a Movie” Award made this hilarious and awesomely self-deprecating speech and thanked her dentist. It was really funny! I got the “Superstar of Tomorrow” award, and I had NO idea that it was the last award.. And on top of getting the award, they gave me these gorgeous diamond earrings. I couldn’t believe it. Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue came up and talked about how much he liked my song writing, and then presented the award to me. It was so cool. It was so nice of Hollywood Life magazine and everyone at the Young Hollywood Awards to invite me and give me such a cool award.
Tomorrow morning I get to play on Regis and Kelly! Wish me luck. Then we’re flying home and then back out to Cali for some CONCERTS!!!!”
