Taylor Swift had a great night at The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards that took place yesterday (January 31) at The Staples Center in Los Angeles. Taylor walked out with 4 awards (out of the 8 she was nominated to) including one the biggest awards of the show, the “Album Of The Year” award.
Taylor won Album of The Year and Best Country Album for “Fearless” and Best Female Country Vocals and Best Country Song for “White Horse”. She was also nominated for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocals for “You Belong With Me” and Best Pop Collaboration for “Breathe” with Colbie Caillat, The winner of Record Of The Year was Kings Of Leon “Use Somebody”, Song of The Year and Female Pop Vocals by Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” and “Halo”, respectively and Pop Collaboration was won by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat “Lucky”.
Taylor performed with Stevie Nicks a medley of 3 songs: Taylor’s “You Belong With Me” and “Today Was A Fairytale” and “Rhiannon”, a 1976 song by rock band Fleetwood Mac whose Stevie is a member of.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards is gonna be held today (Sunday January 31) and Taylor is nominated for 8 awards: Record Of The Year, Song of The Year and Pop Female Vocals for “You Belong With Me”, Album Of The Year and Best Country Album for “Fearless”, Best Country Song and Best Country Female Vocals for “White Horse” and Best Pop Collaboration for “Breathe” with Colbie Caillat. Taylor Swift breaks Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” record for highest digital first week sales by a female artist as “Today Was A Fairytale”, a song from the soundtrack of the movie she’s debuting in as actress “Valentine’s Day”, as the song was legally downloaded 325,000 times opening at #1 on The U.S. Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart.
In October 2008, Britney Spears’ “comeback” single, “Womanizer” shifted 286,000 downloads on the first week making it the highest digital first week sales for a female artist and now the record belongs to Taylor Swift.
“Today was a fairytale” debuts at the runner-up spot of The U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart being held off by Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” that spends it’s 6th straight week at the top slot of the songs chart.

Taylor attended The 2010 People’s Choice Awards yesterday in Los Angeles and from the 3 categories she was nominated to, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Pop Artist, she left winning Favorite Female Artist. ABC News: The people who watch TV shows, buy movie tickets and follow their favorite artists online get to call the shots during the first show of Hollywood’s awards season: the People’s Choice Awards.
The awards will be presented Wednesday at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and will air live on CBS (9 p.m. EST). Topping the nominees are vampire tales “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and HBO’s “True Blood.”
Fans cast more than 60 million votes to choose the winners in 30 categories including favorite action star, favorite on-screen team, favorite music collaboration and favorite animal show.
Host Queen Latifah is set to welcome celebrities including Taylor Swift, Sacha Baron Cohen, Sandra Bullock, Steve Carell, Carrie Underwood, Hugh Jackman and LL Cool J to the two-hour show.
