Taylor Swift is set to be honored with Hal David Starlight Award on June 17 in New York. The award is given in order to honor songwriters who are making or made an impact in music industry, “Taylor Swift is one of the brightest musical talents to emerge in recent years, and represents the true epitome of the Starlight Award,” says Chairman/CEO Hal David, himself a legendary songwriter. “She possesses an undeniable talent as a songwriter, expressive singer and performer, and we are proud to present her with this well-deserved honor.” This is a huge honor for Taylor (since she writes all of her songs).
